We are a Social Enterprise setup to support the community of Upper Swaledale. As an entity we are a registered not-for-profit (limited by guarantee) company with Companies House (no:  11113021) and we are registered with the Office of Community Interest Companies – Swale Life CIC.

The company was founded by loans from the four Directors and a gift from Gunnerside Estate plus support with hosting from Keld Lodge and Chris and Glenda Calvert using their barn on Kisdon.

All customers are also members of the company and so can have their say at meetings – although day-to-day the company is run by the Directors.
